One of the most powerful tools in living a FIT lifestyle is setting healthy goals and working toward them.  Once again FLEET FEET is happy to help you meet your training goals all year long!  Whether you're just getting motivated to get off the couch and finally do that 5K or trying to PR a Fall marathon, we've got something for you!

For the 5th year running, we'll be offering the NO-BOUNDARIES 5K Training Program which culminates with the Race For Hope DC benefiting brain tumor research in early May.  For people who are already comfortable with the 5K distance, maybe you should consider our RUN FIT 10K Training Program.  

If you are interested in the longer distance races, FLEET FEET will once again be offering  RUN FIT 10 Miler Training Programs leading up to the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler in April and Army Ten Miler in October,  as well as RUN FIT Half-Marathon and Marathon Training Programs for those interested in running the SunTrust Rock 'n' Roll USA Marathon & CareFirst Rock 'n' Roll USA Half Marathon in March or the Baltimore Half-Marathon or Marine Corps Marathon in late October.  

We're encouraging everyone to not only get yourself to one of our programs but to BYOB--bring your own buddy!  Like most things in life, running is more fun and meaningful when you do it with a friend.  Having a support system is crucial to success and we encourage you to keep this in mind as you pursue your training goals in 2012!

NO BOUNDARIES™
 
FLEET FEET SPORTS Adams Morgan in Washington, DC, in association with NEW BALANCE, is offering “NO BOUNDARIES™”, a 10-week training program for beginners hoping to run or walk their first 5K race.  The purpose of the program is to introduce participants to the lifetime fitness activities of running and walking and to encourage them to live healthier lifestyles.

The NO BOUNDARIES™ Training Program offers participants weekly training schedules, once-a-week group run/walk training sessions, guidance and advice from experienced coaches and information on topics such as proper running form, progression, nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury, all within a fun and supportive environment. 
 
Spring 2012 NO BOUNDARIES™ Training Program sessions will begin on Sunday, February 26 at 09:30 AM at FLEET FEET SPORTS Adams Morgan in Washington, DC.  The Training Program will then meet every Sunday for one-hour training and information sessions at the same place and time for the following 10 weeks.  The NO BOUNDARIES™ 10 Week 5k Run/Walk Training Program is designed to culminate with the RACE FOR HOPE 5K RUN/WALK on Sunday May 6 in Washington, DC, but NoBo's will be able to choose any Spring 2012 5k they prefer.
 
An informational session will be held @ 11 AM at FLEET FEET Sports Adams Morgan 1841 Columbia Rd NW in Washington, DC on Sunday, February 19th .  Here, you'll get all the details of the program and have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.

FLEET FEET Sports Adams Morgan in Washington, DC, in association with BROOKS RUNNING, is offering the RUN FIT 10K Training Program, an 8 week training program for all runners.  The RUN FIT 10K Training Program is designed for beginning runners looking to continue training from a 5K level and for intermediate and advanced runners looking to develop and strengthen their skills for 10K races.

The  RUN FIT 10K Training Program offers an 8 week training schedule, twice a week group training sessions, guidance and support from experienced coaches on proper running footwear, form, progression, and nutrition.  Training sessions will be held Sundays at FLEET FEET Sports Adams Morgan and Thursday evenings at 7pm at Benjamin Banneker High School Track. 
 
BROOKS RUNNING is sponsoring the RUN FIT 10K Training Program along with FLEET FEET DC Running Club, and will provide each participant with a moisture-wicking shirt and other goodies!

Marathon Training Program
 
FLEET FEET Sports Adams Morgan, in association with BROOKS RUNNING, offers marathon training programs twice a year for the Winter/Spring and Summer/Fall marathon racing seasons.   The RUN FIT Marathon Training Program is an 17 week Marathon Training Program for all runners.  This program is designed for beginning runners looking to continue training from a 10K level and for intermediate and advanced runners looking to develop and strengthen their skills for the marathon distance.  The Winter RUN FIT MTP session schedule will be specifically designed to coincide with the running of the Marine Corps Marathon, but runners looking to do any Fall 2012 marathon can beneFIT.  

The RUN FIT Marathon Training Program provides a slow, steady progression and should be achievable for anyone who is currently able to run/walk continuously for  4-5 miles at a conversational pace.  This program offers a complete training schedule, group training sessions, guidance and support from experienced coaches on proper running footwear and apparel, form, progression and pace, injury prevention and nutrition.  Runners will meet each Saturday morning for group long runs and have the option to participate in additional track/hill workouts on Thursday evenings and/or an additional group tempo run on Tuesday evenings @ 7PM.  RUN FIT Marathon Training Program participants will be responsible for their own entry into an event.

The SUMMER/FALL 2012 RUN FIT Marathon Training Program is presented by FLEET FEET DC Running Club in association with BROOKS RUNNING, and all participants will receive a moisture wicking T-shirt and an additional gift from FLEET FEET Sports!

Race entry fee is separate.

Half-Marathon Training Program

FLEET FEET Sports Adams Morgan, in association with BROOKS RUNNING, offers half-marathon training programs twice a year for the Winter/Spring and Summer/Fall half-marathon racing seasons.  The RUN FIT Half-Marathon Training Program is a 17 week training program for all runners.  This program is designed for both beginning runners looking to continue training from a 5K or 10K  level and for intermediate/ advanced runners looking to develop and strengthen their skills for half-marathon distance.  The Fall/Summer RUN FIT .5MTP session schedule is specifically designed to coincide with the running of the Baltimore  Half Marathon on October 13, but runners looking to do any Fall 2012 half-marathon event can beneFIT.

The RUN FIT Half-Marathon Training Program provides a slow, steady progression and should be achievable for anyone who is currently able to run/walk continuously for 3-4 miles comfortably.  This program offers a complete 17 week training schedule, group training sessions, guidance and support from experienced coaches on proper running footwear and apparel, form, progression and pace, injury prevention and nutrition.  Runners will meet for group long runs each Saturday morning @ 7 AM as well as the option to participate in an additional Track/Hill workout on Thursday evenings and/or Tempo Runs on Tuesday evenings.  RUN FIT Half-Marathon Training Program participants will be responsible for their own entry into an event.

FLEET FEET Sports Adams Morgan in Washington, DC, in association with BROOKS RUNNING, is offering the RUN FIT 10 Miler Training Program, a 10 week training program for all runners.  The RUN FIT 10 Miler Training Program is designed for beginning runners looking to continue training from a 10K level and for intermediate and advanced runners looking to develop and strengthen their skills for 10 Mile races.  This program is designed for both beginning runners looking to continue training from a 5K or 10K  level and for intermediate/ advanced runners looking to develop and strengthen their skills for 10 mile distance. The Winter RUN FIT 10 Miler Training Program session schedule is specifically designed to coincide with the running of the Army Ten Miler, but runners looking to do any Fall 2012 10 mile event can beneFIT.
