One of the most powerful tools in living a FIT lifestyle is setting healthy goals and working toward them. Once again FLEET FEET is happy to help you meet your training goals all year long! Whether you're just getting motivated to get off the couch and finally do that 5K or trying to PR a marathon, we've got something for you!

For the 6th year running, we will offer our NO-BOUNDARIES 5K Training Program. For people who are already comfortable with the 5K distance, maybe you should consider our RUN FIT 10K Training Program. 

 If you are interested in longer distance races, FLEET FEET will once again be offering a host of options.  RUN FIT programs will be offered for those interested in running the Rock 'n' Roll USA Marathon or Half-Marathon in March, the Nike Women's Half-Marathon in late April, or the Baltimore Half-Marathon or Marine Corps Marathon in October.

We're encouraging everyone to not only get yourself to one of our programs but to BYOB--bring your own buddy! Like most things in life, running is more fun and meaningful when you do it with a friend. Having a support system is crucial to success and we encourage you to keep this in mind as you pursue your training goals in 2014!

The RUN FIT Half-Marathon Training Program is a 17 week running program for beginner half-marathoners looking to continue training from a 10K to 10 mile level, as well as for experienced half-marathoners looking to strengthen their skills. This program provides a slow, steady progression and should be achievable for anyone who is currently able to run/walk continuously for 3-4 miles comfortably (under 13:30 min/mile).

This program offers all participants:

  • A complete 17 week training schedule
  • Up to 2 coached group training sessions per week
  • Weekly e-mail support 
  • Training Log
  • FREE seminars
  • Group social events including Happy Hours and a pre-race pasta dinner
  • A moisture wicking T-shirt
  • 10% discount from FLEET FEET Sports!

Runners will meet Saturday mornings @7am at FLEET FEET Sports, Adams Morgan for group long runs, plus have the option to participate in coached group track or hill workouts @7pm on Tuesdays.  The first group workout will be @7am on Saturday, June 28.

An informational meeting will be held at FLEET FEET Sports, Adams Morgan @11am on Sunday, June 22. 

Program fee: $169

The RUN FIT Marathon Training Program is an 18 week running program for beginner marathoners looking to continue training from a 10K to half-marathon level, as well as for experienced marathoners looking to strengthen their skills. FLEET FEET Sports Adams Morgan in Washington, DC, in association with BROOKS RUNNING, is offering the RUN FIT 10 Miler Training Program, a 12 week training program for all runners.  The RUN FIT 10 Miler Training Program is designed for beginner runners looking to continue training from a 10K level and for intermediate and advanced runners looking to develop and strengthen their skills for 10 Mile races.  This program is designed for both beginning runners looking to continue training from a 5K or 10K  level and for intermediate/ advanced runners looking to develop and strengthen their skills for 10 mile distance.  RUN FIT 10 Miler Training Program participants will be responsible for their own entry into an event.

The RUN FIT 10 Miler Training Program provides a slow, steady progression and should be achievable for anyone who is currently able to run/walk continuously for 3-4 miles comfortably.  This program offers a complete 12 week training schedule, group training sessions, guidance and support from experienced coaches on proper running footwear and apparel, form, progression and pace, injury prevention and nutrition.  Runners will meet for group long runs each Saturday morning as well as have the option to participate in additional Track/Hill workouts on Tuesday evenings and/or Tempo Runs on Thursday evenings.    

FLEET FEET DC Running Club, in association with BROOKS RUNNING, is sponsoring the RUN FIT 10 Miler Training Program and will provide each participant with a moisture-wicking shirt and other goodies!

The RUN FIT Half-Marathon Training Program Winter/Spring 2014 p/b FLEET FEET Sports, Adams Morgan is a unique training experience designed to prepare you for the Nike Women's Half Marathon DC 2014 on April 27.  The program begins February 11, and while specifically designed to prepare you for the NWH, runners doing any Spring 2014 half-marathon or ten miler can bene-FIT. 
 
Pace groups, speed work, and specific training plans will enable anyone who can currently run 5 miles (@<12:30min/mile) to finish their first half-marathon or improve on past performances.  Runners will meet @8am each Saturday morning for group long runs, and have the option to participate in coached group track/hill workouts @7pm on Tuesdays, and/or organized group tempo runs @7pm on on Thursdays.
 
This program offers all participants:
  • 1 Guaranteed Entry into Nike Women's Half Marathon DC 2014 (*see details below)
  • 11 week training schedule
  • Up to 3 coached group training sessions per week
  • Weekly e-mail support
  • Guidance and support from experienced coaches on proper running form, training pace, injury prevention, nutrition & equipment, etc.

FLEET FEET Sports, Adams Morgan in association with NEW BALANCE, is offering NO BOUNDARIES™, a 9-week training program for beginners hoping to run/walk their first 5K race.  The purpose of this program is to encourage people to live healthier lifestyles by teaching running/walking fundamentals in a fun and supportive environment.
 
Group training sessions will begin Sunday, April 27 @11am at FLEET FEET Sports, Adams Morgan in Washington, DC.  The Training Program will then meet every Sunday at the same place and time for the following 9 weeks.

  • A 9 week training schedule
